Department of Public Responsibility
Peace – Health – Finance – Religious Identities and Citizenship
As a part of the Luxembourg School of Religion & Society is the Department of Public Responsibility an academic, ethical and theological research unit.
- As an academic research unit is the Department well aware of the public responsibility in the theological field to which it is called. It has to translate its theological ethical concerns into the comprehension horizon of the pluralistic society and has to take into account the standards of the Sciences of the 21st Century.
- The ethical interest of the Department aims to track down responsibility scope, to address action subjects and to show design perspectives. With the accession of individual and social responsibility, is the human released in its autonomy in the likeness of God.
- The Department, as research institute, sees itself committed to challenge the Present in the continuation of Jesus’ ethos. This ethos demands to free people from the self-inflicted slavery of bondage, so that they can live in dignity, the dignity in which God created them.
